Aonori, ao nori あおのり(青海苔) green laver
processed into sea herb flakes and powder.
Hijiki ひじき (鹿尾菜) edible brown algae
hijiki was one of the cheapest food for the poor fishermen of old. They could prepare dry hijiki at the beach and then use it for all kinds of food. It is rich in minerals and very healthy.
